ALOE LANDSCAPES Textile-like photo collages based on a photograph of an Aloe pluridens shadow, a native plant of South Africa. Each work is named after a South African regional landform. 2015-2017
Hand-colored digital prints on narrow vertical strips are mounted onto large paper, similar to the process of African weavers joining small woven pieces to form larger textiles. All pattern motifs begin with the same image (last row, far left).
