ALOE LANDSCAPES Textile-like photo collages based on a photograph of an Aloe pluridens shadow, a native plant of South Africa. Each work is named after a South African regional landform. 2015-2017
All pattern motifs begin with the same image (last row, far left). Hand-colored digital prints on narrow vertical strips are mounted onto large paper, similar to the process of African weavers joining small woven pieces to form larger textiles.
