RADIANT DRESSAGE Playful interpretations of mid-century equestrian diagrams of dressage training exercises. The drawing series is named for the beauty, brilliance, and art of a horse and rider in perfect balance and harmony. Ongoing from 2005.
The principles of dressage can be traced to The Art of Horsemanship, written by the Greek Xenophon in 400 BC. The earliest birds-eye-view training diagrams date back to 1550. Today, dressage training exercises are practiced in both English and Western riding.
